ADULT PROGRAMS

Our adult programs at CrossFit Ares are designed to take the guesswork out of training while providing a highly energized and motivating environment that gets you working harder and seeing results faster.

The movements we use are fundamental to how our bodies operate in the real world. This means we carry, run, jump, twist and work your body in fun and creative ways. These programs  are all put together in an intentional and progressive manner that ultimately makes you better in your daily life outside of the gym … not just in how you look, but also in how you function.

Whether or not you need one on one attention or you like the idea of being part of a group, our adult programs can help get you where you want to be!

CROSSFIT

CrossFit is carefully designed to enhance one’s physical fitness and cardiovascular health through meaningful, varied, and high-intensity workouts.

With functional movements taken from the best of gymnastics, weightlifting, rowing, running, and more, CrossFit will help anyone, no matter their shape, size, or current fitness level, improve their overall quality of life, lose weight and get into the best mental and physical shape of their life.

What makes CrossFit unlike any other workout around is the fact that it is driven by data. At CrossFit, we use whiteboards and scoreboards every day. We use a running clock, keep precise records, and define rules and standards for performance.

This atmosphere helps drive our athletes to succeed at greater levels than other workout regimens (producing greater fitness results), and it also ensures that we, as trainers, are providing you with the best workout possible.

Classes are held multiple times throughout the day, and you are welcome to attend any class of your choosing.

    • Intro: We first start off with a quick class intro where we will go over the workout of the day (WOD), any announcements, and welcome our new members.
    • Warm-up: The intro is then followed by a quick 10-minute warm-up that will prepare you to tackle the workout ahead.
    • Athletic Circuit: A 15-minute athletic circuit based on agility and explosive movements follows the warm-up.
  • WOD: Finally, we end class with the workout of the day. Everything we do in our warm-up and athletic circuit helps us prepare for this workout.

PERSONAL TRAINING

When group training is not the best training option, we also offer a highly personalized one on one training option.

Because of our diverse approach to training, there is no set training methodology when it comes to personal training. Instead, we take great care to understand individual circumstances and goals and craft a program that matches with those.

Within personal training, we have the ability to focus our training far beyond the structure of our traditional group training programs.

Training one on one, we work hard to understand the full range of dynamics that impact your success. This includes:

  • Dialing in your SPECIFIC training objectives (the real ones) and making them tangible
  • Understand your hang ups and anything that may have prevented success in past
  • Conversely, identifying and working to recreate those things that led to success in your past
  • Personality type and what style of teaching and coaching you respond to best
  • What support systems you have or don’t have in place and finding ways to augment them

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Ares Elite Training (formerly called CATZ training) is the branch of our operation that focuses on youth and athletic development. Over the years we have trained thousands of youth athletes to become stronger, faster, more athletic, gain self-confidence, be more resistant to injure, and more!

No matter where you or your child is today, we assess current levels to build on them to ensure any gaps are addressed and that an overall balanced development is achieved.

We pride ourselves on being compassionate and relatable to our youth members and to help them feel comfortable so that they want to work hard to get the most out of the training. Whether you are in middle school, high school or college, our Ares Elite athlete training programs will help you reach new levels and perform at your absolute best!

PERFORMANCE TRAINING

What is it: This is our foundational athlete program.  The goal of the program is far less to think of any form of specialized skill or attribute and focus on building ALL of the foundational building blocks of athletic performance.

Who is it for: This program is for athletes who have less than a few years of strength training experience or who have yet to reach a varsity level.

More details:

  • Classes are 1 hour long
  • Recommended a MINIMUM of 2 classes a week up to 4 classes a week.
  • Focus on core athletic development
    • Improved mobility and range of motion
    • Baseline strength development
    • Coordinated and integrated movement and power development
    • Balance and core strength and stability
    • Increased work capacity and energy system development
  • Pre and post assessments performed for each training cycle.

ELITE TRAINING

What is it: This is our advanced athlete training program. The goal of the program is to help established athletes reach the highest possible levels they are capable of attaining in sports.

Who is it for: This is our program for more advanced athletes looking for a serious edge in athletic performance. To qualify for this program you should have at least two years of consistent sports performance training background or be competing at varsity level.

More details:  

  • Classes are 1.5 hours long
  • Recommended a MINIMUM of 2 classes per week up to 4 classes a week.
  • Focus on skill refinement and optimization
    • Advanced Olympic lifting and other more complex yet highly beneficial athletic lifts
    • Higher volume conditioning (scaled according to individual sport, positional or training needs)
    • Ultra High intensity workout segments designed to test mental toughness and help athletes discover new levels of physical capacity in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Pre and post assessments performed each training cycle.

  • Our classes: on a day to day basis this is where people connect with one another the most.
  • Our groups, forums and social media properties: these open forums allow us all to interact and share our victories and challenges and gain support from others outside of the class environment
